Tethering the clinical and human, the patient and professional, the love and loss.
Pregnancy loss is complicated. Caring for prenatal and postpartum patients after pregnancy loss is rarely spoken about or taught in preparation, but most definitely experienced in practice. I have been consulting with providers on how to care for patients after pregnancy loss since the death of my own child, so that they can learn how to connect with their patients on a more human level while treating them at the clinical level.
Why work with Tethered Care?
Like pregnancy, there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to enhancing the care offered during and after pregnancy loss, but there are tools to improve it.
The training packages Tethered Care offers are for providers of loss populations who want to improve their standard of care. Additionally, what is learned from a training can be used to expand the depth of support colleagues provide to each other when faced with the realities of pregnancy loss in their prenatal and postpartum patient populations.
Custom Trainings: During one or more meetings, we will work together to tailor how you would like to improve your practice and what tools will be most effective, which can include staff input and working directly with other staff members if applicable.
Impact Trainings: Ideal for providers who are short on time. I will make a one-time, one hour pre-determined presentation to groups or staff meetings that includes a series of small changes and tools that can be implemented immediately.
